Soda Springs Geyser, the world’s only captive geyser

Soda Springs Geyser

Launch into spring in Soda Springs, home to the world’s only captive geyser. On November 30, 1937 in an attempt to find a hot water source for a local swimming pool, a well driller found something else: a carbonated water source that sent a geyser spraying 100 feet into the air! The citizens capped the geyser and release the flow once an hour.

All can view the skyrocketing geyser, and you can even sample the clear, sparkling soda water at Hooper Springs nearby. There are many natural and historical attractions in Soda Springs and Caribou County.
