Southeast Idaho Hiking, Biking and ATV Trails and Maps

More than 1000 miles of recreation trails for motorized ATVs and mountain bikes are within the public lands of Southeast Idaho. Non motorized trail for hiking, backpacking and riding horses area available in several areas. The most impressive is the 55-mile Highline Trail traveling the mountain tops from Soda Springs to the state border on the south.

Idaho Parks and Rec has an ATV & Bike Trail Map website! Zoom into the area you are interested in, choose the type of trail and print the map! Click on a trail and a window shows trail details and weather conditions! You can also export it to Google Earth using Export to KMZ.

The US Forest Service has online Trail Maps for ATVs for Southeast Idaho.

Out of State visitors DO NOT have to register their ATV, UTV or Motorbike in Idaho if they already have their vehicle properly registered in another state. 

Required Equipment ATV/UTV and Dirt Bikes on paved roads:

HI/Low Beam Headlight
Taillight and Brake light
Rear view Mirror
Turn Signals
Registration/Insurance on Vehicle
New Lic Plate with Off Road Sticker
Helmet Under 18 Yrs of Age

**Cannot ride on any STATE or FEDERAL maintained roadway. County roads o.k. unless restricted by individual county, city, etc.
